Directions: Create a plot graph using a word processing program.
Save the assignment as plot_elements in the writing folder.
Use a proper heading. First and last name, class name and period, date, assignment.
Title the assignment Plot Elements.
Choose an appropriate story (fairy tale, short story, novel, movie, etc.).
Include each element of plot: Character(s), Setting, Conflict, Drama (Rising Action), Climax, and Resolution.
Align your text to the left hand side of the page.
Utilize block paragraphs, skip a line between paragraphs, and use single spacing.
Use a single basic font that is size 12.
Insert 1 space after periods and commas.
Control standard writing conventions such as spelling, grammar, and punctuation and use them with accuracy and when appropriate. Minor errors must not distract the reader.
Review all parts of this grade sheet before submitting the assignment for a grade.

Plot Elements: “The Three Little Pigs”
A. Characters:
• “Straw” Pig-Youngest brother of three, pink and chubby, lazy, eager to prove he can survive on his own; he is timid, distractible. Home made of straw.
• “Stick” Pig-Eldest brother of three, pink and white, industrious, poor planner, likes to get the job done quickly; he is mild mannered, obnoxious.
• “Brick” Pig-Middle child, pink w/ brown spots, hard-working, careful, prepared, logical; he made his house w/ brick.
• Big Bad Wolf- Bully of the neighborhood, carnivorous, brown and gray fur, sharp teeth, enjoys tormenting swine. He is hungry and has a strong set of lungs. Very persistent to a fault.
• Time- Current day, afternoon -evening hours.
• Place- McDonald Farm, Iowa.
• Mood- Adventurous, suspenseful
C. Conflict: Three Little Pigs are being attacked by the Big Bad Wolf.
D. Drama: (Rising Action)
• Pigs move away from home to show independence.
• Pigs build respective homes (straw, stick, and brick).
• Big Bad Wolf blows down Straw home.
• Big Bad Wolf blows down Stick home.
• Big Bad Wolf attempts to blow down brick home-fails.
E. Climax: Big Bad Wolf scales the rain gutter of Brick home and attempts entry through chimney.
F. Resolution: Big Bad Wolf boils to death in large pot of water. Three Little Pigs live together in Brick home, Learn importance of preparation and hard work.
